Lamar State College Orange
To better serve the needs of students, Lamar State College - Orange commissioned the architectural firm LaBiche Architectural Group to design the Clarence "Gate Mouth" Brown Plaza, a walkway leading to a brand-new campus building.
The design needed to provide a well-lit gathering area as well as electrical and USB outlets. All had to be sheltered from Southeast Texas' weather. It was Lumca and PSA Lighting that LaBiche Architectural Group turned to as partners to illuminate the project.
Lumca's rail poles provided a smart lighting solution to meet the client's various needs. Thanks to their versatility, these poles now enable the integration of integrated power and USB outlets, the addition of electronic displays, and other signage to share information about the college, highlight events and delineate the campus. Seating attached to the integrated USB port posts also gave students the ability to connect to Wi-Fi while sitting along the walkway.
